Description
Vintage Seminole-style cotton skirt, featuring rows of colorful patchwork designs, rick-rack, and pieced stripes. Primary fabric is light orange, but there are many other colors. Features a mix of hand and simple machine stitching (no serging).A tag on the waistband says "Tropical Hobbyland Miami" and features an illustration of a Seminole. From what I've been able to determine, Tropical Hobbyland Indian Village was a 1950s-era tourist attraction in Miami that featured Seminole culture, animals, and other attractions. This was perhaps a tourist souvenir item sold at the location.
Skirt is in very good vintage condition. Colors are bright and true, no rips, holes, or tears. Due to the vintage nature of this item, I have not laundered it. Length is 28", waist is about 26". There are two metal snaps on the side seam opening, but nothing to secure the waistband.
Carefully packed and shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Thanks for looking.
